Let’s get the party started! Before the fireworks light up the sky and the Fourth of July festivities begin, join us for a gravel adventure on one of Central Oregon’s most scenic routes.
The Saxophone route delivers everything we love about gravel riding: quiet roads, sweeping mountain views, towering ponderosa pines, and plenty of adventure. The route winds through the spectacular Horn of the Metolius area, combining smooth gravel roads with rugged forest tracks for a day that is both challenging and rewarding. Expect rolling terrain, steady climbs, fast descents, and some of the most beautiful backcountry riding in Central Oregon.
The Route: Saxophone. The route starts about 25 minutes outside of Sisters. The route is 43 miles and 3,500 feet of gain.
