Wowzzzer, it’s been ten years since we posted the very first route on a website. So, of course, it’s time to celebrate. We have an online event and a bike ride to mark the occasion.
The Online Party
When:
August 23rd, 7 pm
Location:
Join Zoom Meeting
Dial in remote for this fireside chat (yes, it’s been a hot summer) with our founders and fellow cyclists for a simple celebration about turning ten years old. The event will have two components:
- Dirty Freehub in Review: Let’s reflect on the last ten years. What have we learned? What are we most proud of? Where are we headed? (If you have questions you want us to answer, just pop us a note at info@dirtyfreehub.org.).
- Gravel Stories: What have been some of your favorite gravel adventures? Your favorite routes? What was your worst adventure? Note: If you have a story that you would like to include, drop us a note at info@dirtyfreehub.org. Bonus if you can dig up photos and send them to us. To inspire you to send in your stories and photos ahead of time, we will enter you into a drawing for a cool Dirty Freehub jersey, handy Cush Core tire inserts, and spiffy Dirty Freehub water bottles.
Anniversary Bike Ride
The bike ride is turning out to be a little tricky, we were hoping to have it in the middle of August. With smoke rolling across Oregon, we are going to postpone this until late Sept. We will set the date once the smoke quiets down. So stay tuned and we promise we will have a rip roaring good time on riding a Dirty Freehub classic route: Water and Lava which is in Bend, Oregon (the birthplace of Dirty Freehub!)
