Good hard packed gravel road. Moderate but continuous climb of 1600 feet. Some views to the north of the Sumpter valley below.
This is the most rugged sector, where railroad ballast has been laid in areas for erosion and water control.
State Highway OR 7. A bump of a climb, then mostly descending. Lightly trafficked, but recommend a red blinky light and single file riding.
