Matt Traverso is a cyclist, writer, and explorer based in northwest Oregon. His WashCo Cycling Tour documents his adventures visiting the old townsites and cultural landmarks around his home. Originally a road rider, Matt began gravel biking to reach more remote areas. Now, he’s helping others discover the joys of leaving the pavement.

When he’s not riding, Matt’s probably out running, hiking, skiing, or kayaking. He also advises his local transit advisory committee, working to keep gravel roads in great condition. His favorite Dirty Freehub routes include Bayocean and any trail located within 20 miles of his front door.
