Dan’s roots are in the Nebraska gravel scene, but he has since traded the plains for the high desert of Bend, Oregon. A fan of long-distance mountain biking and ultra-running, he’s spent plenty of time on the trails, including the Leadville 100 and White Rim in a Day – In fact, WRIAD is his favorite Dirty Freehub route! Dan appreciates the way Dirty Freehub removes the guesswork from a big day out, allowing for more time in the saddle and less time staring at a map. If he’s short on time, or wants to introduce friends to gravel, he’ll ride Water and Lava. Dan joined the Dirty Freehub team as a Steward to support the organization’s mission of accessibility and to help maintain the high-quality ride guides that make the Pacific Northwest such a great place to explore.
