When We Like to Ride This

Terrain & Riding

While this ride offers up no major climbs, the ride constantly rolls up and down … up and down. See the elevation profile below!

The first 4 miles (6.5 Km’s) is on road to the ferry road. It’s easy pavement, with quick views of the water, and soon enough you turn onto a gravel road that hugs the coastline, along Barnes Bay. A few turns and a bit of an inland trek you end up at Quarantine Station, which has quite the mark in Tasmanian history and makes a nice stop.

Continue on to the sleepy town of Killora and then more beach fun until you head back inland, crossing through sheep farms and forest.

Soon enough you reach the road back to the ferry and with a little luck, you’ll pull up just in time to catch the next boat.
