Gravel roads climb through the Rogue Siskiyou National forest, topping out at over 5700 feet, followed by a long descent down to lake views and swimming options around Fish Lake , and topped off with flowing trail through lush forest and exposed fields of volcanic lava flow.
This route was first ridden and documented by Nate Kaiser with additional route planning and revision by Kevin English (aka: Captain ‘O’) of Team Dirty Freehub. However, this is still a Development Route. It has not been fully vetted or ridden by the Dirty Freehub Team. Go prepared and expect a bit more adventure. Any feedback you have would be much appreciated. You can leave it below in the comments block.
High Lakes Trail, West Access. Small gravel parking lot, no services.
Lat / Long: 42.380750, -122.232916
We have outlined an alternate option at the start that stays closer to the lake. It may provide more scenic payback, it may not!
