David is a passionate cyclist and advocate for the MS community, calling the Portland area home. Diagnosed with Relapsing Multiple Sclerosis in 2021, he refused to let it define him. Instead, he found new strength through cycling, taking up the sport just over a year ago and quickly discovering its power to transform both body and mind.
His cycling journey began with a State All-Road, a gift from Meat Fight, a nonprofit dedicated to helping those with MS stay active. Since then, he’s spent countless hours in the saddle (over 3k miles in 2024), now riding his Cervélo Áspero and embracing both road and gravel adventures. David completed his first century ride at Bike MS Oregon and thrives on the challenges that
cycling brings.
Beyond the bike, David serves on the board of trustees for his local chapter of the National MS Society and for the last 3 years has traveled to Washington, D.C., to advocate for MS warriors and others with disabilities.
When he’s not riding or advocating, he loves to spend time with his family in Portland or snowboarding down Mt. Hood.
