Hooray, Hooray!

Riding away from Kerns Rainbow Ranch.…we are coming back to Lakeview, Oregon to launch our All Access® Eastern Oregon Gravel Guide with a fun party. We have fingers (and toes) crossed for good weather so we can toss in a popup gravel bicycle ride.  Plus, you can join us for the Tour De Outback. So here’s the full lay of the land.

The Tour De Outback Pizza Party

Honestly, we have had this pizza and it’s well worth the effort!  It’s 6:00 on Friday in downtown Lakeview.  The perfect event for a pre-ride carbo load. Please make sure you reserve your seat so they know you are coming.

Tour De Outback Gravel Ride:

This whole region is packed full of fun riding, but the Tour De Outback has a really special route.  The start is in town of Adel with 51 miles of premium gravel.  Now if that sounds like too much, the route is an out and back and you can just turn around when you think you’ve done your distance.  You need to register for the event.

Dirty Freehub All Access Launch PARTY will be hosted at Neon Cowboy which is this crazy place we never can describe. It’s a funky modernized motel with a hot springs, a restaurant and bar. The party will be Saturday, June 21, from 5:30 – 8 pm.  Drinks and food will be available for purchase at Neon.  The first 50 people to arrive will get a free copy of the All Access  Eastern Gravel Guide.  Cyclist and non-cyclists are invited to join in the fun.

At the party, you will get the chance to hear from Kevin and Linda English, Co-Founders of Dirty Freehub about the All Access program, the routes included on the website and in the guide books, and the key reasons why All Access is so important to Dirty Freehub.  But enough gabbing, we will feature a super fun event called, “Explosive Trivia.”  Now before you bike nerds think you are dead ringers to win, the content will be trivia that has been embedded into our Ride Guides.  From beavers to pioneers … from rare plants to historic details … you never know what questions will pop up.  To let us know that you are coming to the event, you can register here!

Eastern Guide Book Lodging:  While you can stay at Neon Cowboy, van campers are also welcome to join us in the parking lot.  (You need to make a reservation at Neon Cowboy).  This includes a visit to the hot springs for your post ride recovery!

Popup Bike ride on Sunday June 22nd:  If the weather is good, join us for a gravel bike ride. We will figure out the the routes a week before the event.  Check back here for the registration details after June 10th so we can confirm we are hosting a Popup Bike Ride.  This is a free event.
