Clearing the way for adventure!
The Dirty Roads Crew is our volunteer force dedicated to keeping Dirty Freehub routes open and rideable. From removing downed trees to cutting back brush, this team keeps the routes ready for exploration and discovery.
Rooted in Central Oregon and steadily expanding across our route network, the Dirty Roads Crew is powered by 8 certified sawyers and a dedicated group of volunteers. Led by Mike Spencer and Jeff Boulet, the team combines skill, leadership, and a passion for gravel riding in every project. Their efforts stretch far beyond Central Oregon, with work completed in Brookings, McKenzie Bridge, Santiam Pass, the Ochocos, Madras, and Klamath Falls. One of their most ambitious undertakings is the stewardship of the 100-mile OC&E Trail in Klamath Falls—a complex, large-scale project that highlights the Crew’s commitment to keeping adventure accessible.
Want to pitch in? You don’t need to be a certified sawyer to join us! Work parties involve tough, hands-on labor and usually take up the better part of a day—but the reward is huge. We provide all necessary tools, plus a hearty lunch to celebrate after the work is done.
