Insanity.  70+ miles and over 6,000 feet of climbing in a day.  These are day routes designed for you insane cyclist who can never get enough.  If it’s on this list, we are warning you …. it’s a LONGGGGGGG day. Longer for some of us.  But who doesn’t love a good challenge!

Big Mack

Development Route
Maupin, Oregon
A scenic loop highlighting the diversity of Oregon’s outback lands. First, experience classic Central Oregon high desert with rolling hills, few trees, and views for miles. The riding is fast and relatively easy. Then, follow a dirt road / trail along an old railroad grade just above the Lower Deschutes river. Much of the river is classified as Wild & Scenic. The riding is rugged, demanding and at times very slow.

CheddarHead

5 Star Route
Tillamook, Oregon
Tillamook. Synonymous with dairy. This ride explores what makes Tillamook what it is. Mountains, valleys, rivers, bays, and farms, oh my! But be warned, this is one of the most difficult and demanding rides that we have ever posted! Read this guide in detail.

Devil’s Dilemma

Bend, Oregon
A mixed route that circumnavigates Mt Bachelor. There are 14 miles of rugged and demanding riding in high alpine "gobsmacking" views and a creek crossing or two. A must do for the adventurer!

Dirty Lemmon (The)

Tucson, Arizona
This is a big, big endeavor! But … the payoffs are huge: (a) the accomplishment of a monster climb (4400 feet in 13 miles), (b) one of the longest and most scenic paved descents in the West and (c) bragging rights with your riding friends.

McKenzie Tough!

Sisters, Oregon
Big views, a stop at one of the clearest lakes in the Cascade Mountains, scenic trail riding along the McKenzie River, a long, paved climb that twists and turns up the Cascade Mountains topping out at an observatory, and an [almost] no-brakes descent back to the start.

Steens Mountain Loop Road

Tour of the Brobdingnagians

Walla Walla GRIT 95

Walla Walla is famous for its renowned road riding, but the locals have been venturing into the Blue Mountains for years to get their fix of first class gravel roads. This course includes the iconic, and challenging, Cottonwood Creek climb.Unlike the 45 and 65, this is a big tire route, 50 mm or better!

Wydaho One Hundred

The Wydaho One Hundred follows classic backroads of Eastern Idaho and Western Wyoming, featuring the foothills of the Teton Range and the rugged frontcountry of Horseshoe-Packsaddle Canyon in the Big Hole Mountains. This ride completes a 360-degree circumnavigation of the valley.
